Aberdeen Upholstery is a bespoke business based in Aberdeenshire, led by Karen, with support from her husband Arnie.

Karen has over forty years of sewing and textile experience, beginning with a degree in Fashion and Clothing before developing a career that has spanned fashion, traditional textiles, marine canvaswork and upholstery.

Her experience includes designing bespoke tartans for corporate clients with a leading Highland dress company, followed by fifteen years in southern Spain producing canvaswork, upholstery and sail repairs for luxury yachts.

Today, Karen specialises in traditional and contemporary upholstery, combining time-honoured techniques with modern materials.

Her craftsmanship has been recognised by the Worshipful Company of Upholders, one of London’s historic Livery Companies, where she received an award recognising the quality of her work.

Every project receives the same attention to detail, whether restoring a treasured antique, creating bespoke loose covers or upholstering a contemporary sofa.
